Foodie content was driving a significantly higher engagement than other content, we parallel-pathed our work and developed a standalone "Foodie" (Food-centric) app to showcase some of the best (curated by our editors) videos about food. The model we developed mimicked that of traditional television - where an "episode" of 5 short videos (totaling less than 30 min) would be released each week on the same day at the same time. This model resonated with users and our engagement was well above 63% of all users responding to the notification and watching the vide
The mobile app mimics much of the iPad format, but more compact and easier to see more content through scrolling. 
The compact nature of the interface for the phone required optimizing only what was necessary for the viewer to advance and play while in Vertical format.
